303 Bike Shop is an approved participating retailer for Denver and Colorado e-bike incentive programs. We can help you understand your voucher, select an eligible e-bike, take a test ride and apply your approved discount at the time of purchase.
There are three different programs. They have different eligibility rules and cannot all be combined on the same bicycle.

The $225 Colorado tax credit may be combined with either the Colorado income-qualified rebate or the Denver voucher.
The Denver voucher and Colorado income-qualified rebate cannot be combined with each other on the same purchase.
The Colorado E-Bike Tax Credit is the simplest program. It provides a $225 point-of-sale discount on a qualifying new e-bike purchased from a participating Colorado retailer.
There is no income requirement and no advance voucher application.
To qualify:
You must live in Colorado.
You must purchase a new qualifying e-bike.
You must buy from a participating retailer such as 303 Bike Shop.
You must provide proof of a physical Colorado address.
Your proof of residency must generally be dated within three months of the purchase.
Each Colorado resident may receive the discount on one qualifying e-bike per calendar year.
The discount is applied when you purchase the bike. It is not a reimbursement that arrives later. The purchaser remains responsible for applicable sales tax.
Colorado’s income-qualified program offers selected applicants:
$1,000 toward a qualifying standard e-bike.
$1,300 toward a qualifying e-cargo or adaptive e-bike.
When combined with the $225 Colorado E-Bike Tax Credit, total potential savings are:
Up to $1,225 on a standard e-bike.
Up to $1,525 on an eligible cargo or adaptive e-bike.
Applicants must:
Live in Colorado.
Be at least 18 years old.
Meet the program’s household-income requirements or participate in an approved assistance program.
Register during an open application period.
Complete eligibility verification if selected.
The first 2026 registration period has closed. Additional registration periods are expected in October 2026, January 2027 and March 2027. Registration is not first-come, first-served. Applicants may register at any time during an open window, after which recipients are selected.
Approved recipients generally have 60 days to redeem their rebate at a participating retailer.
The statewide rebate cannot be combined with a Denver or other local e-bike voucher on the same purchase. It can be combined with the $225 Colorado E-Bike Tax Credit when the retailer participates in both programs.
Denver’s standard 2026 e-bike voucher is worth $675. It can be combined with the $225 Colorado E-Bike Tax Credit for total potential savings of up to $900.
The final scheduled Denver release for 2026 opens:

Denver vouchers are issued online on a first-come, first-served basis. They have historically been claimed quickly, so applicants should create their Submittable account and prepare their documents before the release.
To qualify for a standard Denver voucher:
You must live within the City and County of Denver.
You must be at least 16 years old.
Your household must fall within Denver’s 2026 income limits.
You must provide approved proof of residency and income.
You must purchase the bike in person from a participating retailer.

Acceptable residency documents include:
Colorado driver’s license or Colorado identification card.
Current lease.
Current Xcel Energy bill.
Documents must show a physical Denver address and be dated within one year of the application.
Denver accepts specific documents, including:
Cover page of the previous year’s federal Form 1040 showing line 11.
Form SSA-1099.
Proof of SSI, SSDI or Old Age Pension.
Proof of enrollment in approved Energy Outreach Colorado, Xcel Energy or Denver assistance programs.
Denver does not accept SNAP, Medicaid, W-2 forms or Colorado state tax returns as proof of income for this program.
Uploading the wrong document may cause an application to be denied, so carefully review Denver’s official requirements before applying.
Create a Submittable account before release day and save your password.
Gather approved residency and income documents.
Visit Denver’s official e-bike application page when applications open at 11:00 a.m.
Complete the application and upload documents no larger than 5 MB.
Watch for an email from “Denver Project Coordinator,” including your spam folder.
Allow up to 14 business days for the initial application review.
If Denver requests additional documentation, you normally have seven days to provide it.
Once approved, bring your voucher code and identification to 303 Bike Shop.
Denver vouchers are generally valid for 45 days. Customers experiencing a purchase delay may be able to request a 90-day extension directly from Denver.
Applicants who miss the initial vouchers may be placed on a waiting list. Unused or expired vouchers can be reissued to people on that list.
A qualifying Denver e-bike must:
Be new.
Have two or three wheels.
Have fully operable pedals.
Have a motor rated at 750 watts or less.
Meet Colorado Class 1, Class 2 or Class 3 requirements.
Have a battery certified to meet Denver’s safety standards.
Be purchased for personal use and not for resale.
Be purchased in person from a participating bike shop.
Be completely assembled before delivery.
The following do not qualify for a Denver voucher:
Used e-bikes.
Conversion kits.
Full-suspension electric mountain bikes.
Gas-powered bicycles.
E-motos or other machines exceeding 750 watts or capable of exceeding 28 mph.
Bikes without fully operable pedals.
Online purchases shipped directly to the customer.
A manufacturer advertising a motor’s “peak wattage” does not automatically determine eligibility. Eligibility is based on the bike’s documented specifications and program requirements. Please allow us to verify the exact model before assuming it qualifies.
The Denver voucher and Colorado tax credit can cover no more than 80% of the e-bike’s price before sales tax.
For example, the combined discount on a $1,000 e-bike is limited to $800—not the full $900. The customer must pay at least 20% of the bike’s price, plus applicable sales tax.
Unused voucher value cannot be:
Paid to the customer in cash.
Issued as store credit.
Applied to accessories or unrelated merchandise.
Saved for another purchase.
When redeeming an approved voucher, please bring:
Your valid voucher code or approval email.
A government-issued photo ID.
Any residency documentation required by the program.
Your preferred payment method for the remaining balance and sales tax.
The name on the voucher must match the person purchasing the e-bike. Vouchers cannot be transferred to another person.
You do not have to wait for your voucher to shop for an e-bike.

If you already have an approved voucher, please text us with your name, voucher type, expiration date, height and the kind of riding you plan to do. We can tell you which qualifying bikes and sizes are currently available.
Inventory changes frequently. A bike shown online or previously test-ridden is not guaranteed to remain available until it has been purchased or reserved under 303 Bike Shop’s current deposit policy.
Every e-bike purchased from 303 Bike Shop is:
Professionally assembled.
Safety inspected before delivery.
Checked for program eligibility.
Supported by a local bicycle shop.
Eligible for local maintenance and repair on brands we sell and support.
We will help you choose a bike that fits your body and intended use—not simply the model with the largest motor or longest advertised range.
Rebate programs are administered by the City and County of Denver and the State of Colorado—not by 303 Bike Shop.
303 Bike Shop cannot:
Approve or issue a voucher.
Guarantee that an application will be selected.
Extend an expired voucher.
Change the name on a voucher.
Override program eligibility requirements.
Apply a voucher to an ineligible bicycle.
Provide cash or store credit for unused voucher value.
Program dates, funding and rules can change. Always review the official program information before applying or making a final purchase decision.
